• Free US Censuses 1790-1950: https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/United_States_Census

• FamilySearch Research Wiki: https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki/Main_Page - At the top of the page, notice the Research dropdown menu, you can access all of the research materials through this menu.

• Search for an Ancestor: https://www.familysearch.org/en/home/portal/

• Full-text search: https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/full-text/ - I've found I have to put the name I'm searching for in both the Keywords and Name. I use parenthesis around the Keywords. Remember, surnames can have different spellings.

• Catalog: https://www.familysearch.org/en/search/catalog - invaluable in finding primary sources. My favorite is to search for a Place. Then you can see all of the online records available for that location: marriage, court, deeds, etc

• US Federal Census map - https://www.us-census.org/states/map.htm - Shows the states, territories, etc from 1790 - 1950

• Maps of States' county formations - https://www.mapofus.org/state-maps/ - Click on state you wish to see. Scroll to Interactive History and Complete List

• Archives.org - Books, journals, etc. Quite a few can be checked out for an hour if you sign up for a free account.

• Allen County Public Library Genealogy services - https://www.acpl.lib.in.us/genealogy/family-history-archives

• Google books - https://books.google.com/ - Type in a search for a location, a surname, etc

• National Archives Charts and Forms - https://www.archives.gov/research/genealogy/charts-forms - had blank census forms, ancestor charts, group sheets

• Swedish National Archives - https://sok.riksarkivet.se/en

• Norway Digital Archives - https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/
